I apologize for the fragmented look, but if you know me,

that is normal.

Being fragmented, that is.

Thank you for viewing my work and being patient about this process.

These details may help
you to better view my
layering technique of
salted and scraped
layers and how I
increased the depth
of the paintings by
adhering strips of
fringed canvas to
physically formed the
pine trees and the
needles.

MY INSPIRATIONAL
RESOURCES:

Much of my artwork
is inspired by my
family ties to Upper
Michigan.
This includes the
365 miles to get there!
So often, I use
elements of photographs
and sketches that I
developed while on the
road or "at camp".

MY MONET
WEEKEND:
These paintings were
done in one very
horridly hot day last
summer.
The concept of
handling the paint was
quite a different
experience from my
usual method...
and rather fun!
I haven't decided yet
if these
WESTWARD HO!
paintings are
completed.
What do you
think?
